WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN

Collect statutory ID documents: PAN, Aadhaar or Passport, proof of address

Trigger background verification immediately. Vendors don't follow up without being chased

Decide on device or WFH setup: who procures it, who owns the asset, is there a stipend

Confirm payroll cut-off date with your EOR. Missing it delays the first salary by a full month

Confirm the offer letter issued by the EOR, not your company

WHAT USUALLY BREAKS

Background check stalls after kickoff. No one follows up. The candidate is left waiting, the offer gets delayed, and the first impression is gone.
